How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open the app, go to the Tools panel, and tap/click the "Restore Purchases" button. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Pro.
Can I sync my documents between devices?
Yes! Writeros supports both native and external cloud storage, allowing you to access your documents across all your Apple devices.
What is the .wtr file format?
The `.wtr` format is Writeros's proprietary document format based on plain text HTML with support for encryption metadata.
How does encryption work in Writeros?
To encrypt a file: Click the lock button and define your passphrase. The file will be saved in encrypted form every time you save it.
To decrypt an encrypted file: You'll notice a file is encrypted because an overlay appears when you open it. Click the lock button and enter your passphrase to enable editing and reading. While the lock remains closed, Writeros will continue saving the file in encrypted form.
To remove encryption: Simply remove the passphrase and click save. This will save the file in plain text.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Writeros does not store your passphrase anywhere. There is no way to recover it if you forget it. Please keep backup copies of your documents and make sure to remember or properly note down your passphrase.
